A large canvas print (16"x20") of a digital picture I uploaded from my computer to the Canvas On Demand website. I chose a picture my mother-in-law took of WWII bomber at an air show. We chose the photorealistic style and standard editing- no extra touch-ups or anything like that.
Who Makes It:
Canvas On Demand, a company started by a pair of dads named Joe and Tom from Indiana and New York (6 kids between the 2 of them) who love outdoors activities and were both formerly involved with Art.com. I looked up their Better Business Bureau score online, and it's an "A."
First Impressions:
The ordering process was so quick and easy, I was almost afraid I'd missed something! There are a lot of size and customization options, but if you look around the site, there are detailed explanations for all of them. For example, instead of the option I picked, you can have them make your picture look like it is an oil painting, complete with brushstrokes!
I was also impressed at how quickly it got here. For our canvas print, it just took a couple of days from when I ordered it for it to actually be delivered to us.
General Impressions:
The large canvas print looks awesome! I'm so excited to put it up in Baby's room in the new apartment we are moving to. I was afraid it might be pixelated, like a paper copy of an enlargement that big would probably, but instead it looks almost like a painting. There is one tiny dot of glare or something, but it's from the picture we sent in, not any error on their part. (I checked the original on my computer-definitely our fault!) They might've been able to fix it had I chosen a more expensive editing type.
Pros:
- high quality/durability
- many size options
- less expensive than many other sites that print your photos on canvas
- variety of customization and editing choices
Cons:
- mistakes in your photos may end up in your canvas too!
The bottom line:
The large canvas prints from Canvas on Demand are gorgeous ways to show off your photography and decorate your home.
*This review is my honest opinion of the product and exclusively mine. I received a free large canvas print to review but did not receive any monetary compensation.
